Publication Ethics

IJBAS has ethical guidelines for researchers, editorial board members, reviewers, publishers, and this journal's stakeholders. In addition, we have our ethical guidelines, which are followed in letter and spirit. IJBAS also abides by the ethical guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics-COPE.

Ethical Guidelines for Researchers

The ethical guidelines for publishing in IJBAS are outlined below:

1. Do not submit your manuscript to any other journal until you receive a decision from the editorial board of IJBAS.

2. Ensure that your manuscript does not contain any illicit material or violate existing copyrights unless you have obtained proper permission.

3. Obtain permission from the holders of other manuscripts if you plan to use their work in your manuscript.

4. Provide "Proof of Consent" for using the names of individuals and organizations. 

5. The author submitting the final draft of the manuscript is responsible for ensuring that all listed authors agree to publication and the order of authorship.

6. All individuals who have made significant contributions to the research should be listed as authors, while minor contributors may be acknowledged in the Acknowledgement section. 

7. Authors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest in the paper and acknowledge any support received from third parties in the Acknowledgement section.

8. Do not deposit the final version of the manuscript into an organizational repository until it has been published by IJBAS. The editor(s) of IJBAS will handle repository deposition post-publication. 

9. Do not permit others to electronically gather and save your paper on a separate server.

10. All authors must submit a Consent Form and a Contribution form detailing their contributions to the research paper. The consent form should be signed by all authors, indicating their review of the article and agreement to take responsibility for its content.

The corresponding author submitting the manuscript to IJBAS must adhere to these guidelines. Failure to comply may result in the manuscript not being processed. Additionally, authors must acknowledge that severe cases of misconduct, as determined by the editorial board, may result in being barred from publishing in IJBAS.

Errors and Corrections

Notifications of corrections will be posted on the journal's website and in its online edition. Any necessary modifications to manuscripts to address correction requirements will be carried out. Authors are required to submit an Errors and Omissions Correction Form to the editor. These notifications will include one of the following:

  1. Printing Errors and Omissions:

Any oversight or error in publication, attributable to the publisher, will be corrected upon the author(s)' request. This form addresses publishing errors or oversights typically occurring during the publication process. Such errors will be noted at the abstract level in the online version of the manuscript to ensure visibility for readers. Furthermore, corrections are made following careful review of the author(s)' request.

  1. Writing Errors and Omissions:

Errors or omissions made prior to manuscript submission also require correction requests using the error correction form submitted by the author(s). The editorial board will review these requests and implement necessary changes and corrections. These corrections will be reflected in the online version of the manuscript to ensure visibility for readers.

This notice will only be invoked in cases of significant ethical misconduct or when research is deemed misleading, plagiarized, or contrary to the broader interests of society or the country. Under normal circumstances, the manuscript will remain in the journal's archives. However, the retraction will be visible in the online version of the manuscript to ensure readers are aware. The retraction notice will be published separately in the upcoming issue and assigned a DOI number for future reference by researchers.

Such notices will transparently outline the reasons for the manuscript's retraction. For instance, manuscripts may need to be removed from the database for legal reasons, which will be clearly stated. If such action is necessary for an author's work, IJBAS reserves the right to restrict the author(s) from future publication in the journal.

Clarification Note

A clarification note may be issued to address any points as necessary, which may not constitute a correction. It's important to highlight any amendments as a published error, author oversight, or clarification note. The editorial board holds the authority to make text amendments if deemed necessary, with their decision being final.

Expression of Concern

In instances where the conclusion is ambiguous or when a fair decision cannot be reached due to conflicts of interest or insufficient information, IJBAS will publish an expression of concern regarding the manuscript. This expression of concern will be visible in the online version of the manuscript at the abstract level to ensure readers' awareness. Additionally, it will be displayed in the online version of the manuscript.
IJBAS reserves the right to discontinue proceedings if the complainant provides false information or behaves inappropriately towards the IJBSA team.

Guidelines in Making Decisions about Ethical Misconduct

There are several types of ethical issues. The ethical misconduct may include the following:

Ethical Considerations:

The journal upholds the highest ethical standards. Authors must follow ethical guidelines and obtain appropriate approvals for studies involving humans or animals. Plagiarism and fraudulent data are prohibited and will be investigated thoroughly.
