Author Guidelines

Scope and Mission

The International Journal of Business Analytics and Strategy (IJBAS) accepts original research, reviews, case studies, and conceptual papers that advance the fields of business analytics and strategic management.

Submissions must be relevant to academics, industry practitioners, or policymakers, with innovative insights that help the greater community of scholars and professionals.

Submission Requirements

Manuscripts submitted to IJBAS must be original, not previously published, and not under consideration elsewhere.

Authors must include a cover letter giving their complete information, a certification of the manuscript's originality, and declaration of any financial or creative contributions to the work.

Manuscript Types

IJBAS allows a variety of formats. Full-length research publications should contain comprehensive investigations and organized abstracts of no more than 250 words. Systematic or integrative reviews must critically analyze current research, provide practical implications, and include structured abstracts of up to 300 words.

Case studies highlighting practical and innovative applications in strategy or analytics should include an abstract of no more than 150 words.

Conceptual papers that propose theoretical insights or new frameworks are encouraged. Short communications with preliminary findings or unique approaches are also encouraged, with a maximum paper length of 10 pages.

Preparation Guidelines

Manuscripts should include the title, abstract, keywords, main text, references, tables, and figures. Authors must adhere to the American Psychological Association (APA) 7th Edition style for citations, references, and statistical reporting.

Manuscripts must be double-spaced, use a 12-point font, and have one-inch margins on all sides. Research articles should not exceed 8,000 words, while shorter formats are encouraged for concise and focused submissions. Abstracts for research papers should follow a structured format, including introduction, methods, results, and conclusion, while unstructured abstracts should concisely summarize the manuscript’s main findings and contributions.

Ethical Standards

All authors must adhere to ethical publishing standards. Any conflicts of interest, funding sources, or sponsorships must be disclosed. Studies involving human participants must include evidence of institutional ethics approval, with details of the approving body and approval number clearly stated.

Authorship should conform to the criteria outlined by the International Journal of Business Analytics and Strategy (IJBAS), ensuring that all listed authors have made substantial contributions to the work.

Tables, Figures, and Supplementary Materials

Authors are advised to include no more than eight tables or figures in their manuscript. Each should be submitted on a separate page with a detailed caption and referenced sequentially in the text. High-resolution images in formats such as .JPG or .TIF (at least 300 dpi) are required. Any long quotations, images, or data borrowed from other sources must be accompanied by written permission from the copyright holders.

Review Process

All manuscripts submitted to IJBAS undergo a rigorous peer review process to ensure the highest quality of published work. Authors can expect a decision within six to eight weeks of submission. Once a manuscript is accepted, authors must ensure their final submission adheres to the journal’s formatting guidelines. A signed copyright transfer agreement is required before publication.

AI and Generative Technologies

In compliance with modern publishing practices, authors are required to disclose the use of generative AI or AI-assisted technologies in the manuscript preparation process. This disclosure must be included in a dedicated section titled "Declaration of Generative AI and AI-Assisted Technologies in the Writing Process" and positioned before the references. The statement should specify the extent of AI use and assure the editors of the work’s originality and integrity.
